Few months ago, my friends tried this restaurant called “Mesa” in Greenbelt 5. Being a restaurant with Filipino cuisine, we were excited to try their versions of the different Philippines’ best food. On our first try, we had Grilled Liempo and Baked Tahong with cheese. On our second try, we had Crispy Tilapia that came with four different sauces and Baked tahong with cheese again. And on our third visit, we had Crispy Tilapia and Sinigang na baboy in Guava and Pineapple. Our taste buds’ reaction? DAMN GOOOOOOOOOOD.

The Grilled Liempo is good for one to two people depending on how many each person can eat. Best with rice and toyo-chili-mansi sauce.

The Baked Tahong (Mussels) with cheese are just… PERFECT.

The Crispy Tilapia served with four different sauces (sweet chili sauce, bagoong, soy sauce mix, i forgot the last one hehe) is my best friend and I’s personal favorite. Two deep fried tilapia fishes, cubed and their fish body frames presented in a heart-shaped style. This always makes me ask for an extra order of steamed rice. Hehe.


Last but definitely not the least is their Sinigang na Baboy in Guava and Pineapple. It was really good until my tastebuds recognized the Guava taste. Not really a fan. Hehe. But all in all, this dish is good. Only, I prefer Tamarind sinigang.

Too bad I wasn’t able to take pictures of the two dishes I spoke about but I definitely will when we go back and order the same thing. You should it for yourselves! And btw, everything is PERFECT with an ice-cold Coke. Teehee. 😛
